LUCAS DCN2 ECU & LUCAS Coded Pump

REF: Peugeot or Citroen vehicles using the LUCAS DCN2 ECU. and LUCAS coded pump

In cases where the pump has been changed (incorrectly) and the BSI and pump don't agree on the PIN code ... but the vehicle still runs OK...

This is because a non virgin pump has been fitted and this leaves a fault which is difficult or impossible to remove, unless a new virgin pump is fitted and recoded in properly.

Solution:

If removing the fuse doesn't work...

- Remove fuse 2 and leave out

- Remove the chip from inside the key and move out of range of the receiver around the barrell

- Try and start the vehicle

- Go in with Superscan II and clear fault codes... (All the codes should now clear)

- Replace the chip in the key....

- Vehicle should now start and run without the fault light on the dashboard.
